Annual Sønderhaus Midsommar Festival

NEXT MIDSOMMAR EVENT IS 6/6/2026

Join us for our annual Midsommar festival. This event has been in the making for 2 years and we are so excited to finally bring it to you. Swedish Midsommar is a big celebration of the summer solstice. It’s one of their biggest holidays, all about enjoying the longest day of the year. People head to the countryside, dance around a flower-covered maypole, wear flower crowns, eat a ton of herring and strawberries, and spend time with their family and community. It started as a pagan festival to celebrate nature and fertility, and though it’s evolved, it’s still all about being outside, connecting with others, and soaking up the sunlight. Sønderhaus is inspired by our Scandinavian heritage and their culture of slow living and community connection. Wear your best summer dancing dress and hang out with us under the maypole! We are hoping to host a Midsommar for families in the future, but this year we won't be accommodating children. Small infants are allowed.
